Testimonial:
I recently completed taking an online course using the Finale 2012 music notation program from Mike Klinger on the WizIQ site. I've used Finale for over 15 years, but only in a very rudimentary way (re-creating lost band parts, transposing songs for use by other instruments, etc.). Mike's approach was extremely intuitive and "hands-on". I really enjoyed the tutorials he took the time to upload and really explore the powerful tools available to the user, many of which I was totally unaware. The most helpful things I learned were several shortcuts and ways to set things up when creating a piece of music. I also got to explore different ways of inputting data that I hadn't tried and will, most definitely, be using from now on! Thanks, Mike, for offering something that I can use right NOW!

I’m a music teacher in a small district and a lot of times I need to change parts so a different instrument can play it. While I have been using finale off and on since 1993, I have never felt I had a “good” handle on things. After your course I have noticed a few things about my ability to use the program. 1. I can do so a heck of a lot faster then I could before I started! 2. I’m not afraid to attempt more difficult arrangements of songs. I attribute this, to learning how to set up the program in a fashion so that is functions better then it does out of the box. The tips and tricks I have learned are invaluable.

Mike Klinger is a great online instructor. I have taken courses from him at his facility, and was curious to see how well his instructional style translated to online learning. Bottom line: Mike did a great job. Pro Tools is software with a steep learning curve, that he made easier with his sequential steps, building confidence right along with content knowledge in the learner (me! As a teacher myself, I can really appreciate this). I am getting a lot more use of my recording set-up, and am much more efficient with it, thanks to this class. Thanks Mike! Looking forward to my next class!
